This tattoo is simply beautiful.  It shows a flock of robins as they land and flutter around a flower.  The colors in this tattoo are SO vibrant and the detail of each bird really brings this tattoo to life.  On top of the amazing foreground there are silhouettes of even more birds in the background.  It’s almost like capturing a scene from a spring day.  This tattoo brings to mind the popular phrase, birds of a feather flock together.

Alright, this is a bit of a geeky, scientist kind of tattoo, but it’s still pretty cool.  And fairly accurate in it’s depiction of an H2O molecule.  Now, I won’t bore you with the details, but it is a good scientific representation and was this client’s first tattoo so it is a good thing that it was done by a skilled artist.  Nice blending of the outer rims of each circle and clearly defined inner portion make this a very nice first tattoo.  As far as geek tattoos go, we give this a solid 8 out of 10!

Everyone gets old…that’s just how life works.  It sucks, but what can we do about it?  That gorgeous geisha girl you had your eye on?  What will she look like when she’s 80?  Unfortunately…this tattoo answers that question with one alternative.  This might be what you are dealing with in the years to come, so think carefully!  This piece was done by Ed Perdomo and shows a great sense of humor as well as skill with the needle.  This is not a tattoo you can forget easily. It’s just too funny!

The Phoenix is a mythical creature that is reborn again from the ashes of its former self at the end of every life cycle.  It is one of the ultimate symbols of perseverance and rebirth and a favorite for tattoos.  This full back tattoo is quite nice as the feathers are allowed to cascade down the back and along the curves of the client.  The head and face are slightly fierce, but the feathers are the main show piece here.  Rich color and great placement make this a very special tattoo, indeed!

This is SO pretty!  This is a great option for a full sleeve for a woman.  There is great detail and coloring in this piece from the top to the bottom.  You can really take a garden with you with this tattoo.  It is the best of both worlds:  it is edgy because it is a full sleeve tattoo and it is incredibly pretty because of the composition of the many different kinds of flowers.  There is nowhere for the eye to rest as so many flowers are growing together down this young lady’s arm.

This is a really well done tattoo.  The detail and colors are amazing.  It is very soft and feminine and yet crisp and clear all at the same time.  The wings of this moth are beautifully done and shaded.  The clock pieces on the right fit in really well, as do the roses on the left.  I wish I knew what the meaning of the human heart with the pocket  watch coming out of it meant, but it is very well done.  Great shading and wonderful placement on the back. It is so pretty and interesting at the same time. A truly original piece.

This is really nice.  The shading is so pretty on the flowers and on the women’s face.  She has a bit of a haunting gaze and is quite serious as she peers out from the client’s arm.  Unfortunately, we don’t have information on the inspiration or meaning of this tattoo, but sometimes that’s not the point anyway.  This is a great piece that elicits an old world charm with a fresh new feel.  Great placement, too, with the flowers and foliage curving up onto the shoulder and the lady’s face centered on the arm.

Made up of almost all shadow, this is work done by Nathan Kostechko from Off the Map tattoo.  He says that this was done with one needle and that there is no line work here with the shading all completed in stippling.  Well, all that can be said is that that is one sweet little tattoo.  Very crisp and interesting with a quirky twist.  Oh, and while she may not have eyes in the back of her head, she can still see you behind her if she wants!
