Ran into this highly detailed skeleton design someone has been working on. The amount of effort and thought that has gone into the design is astounding, and really goes to show what can be done with a bit of determination. Can’t wait to see this finished up and inked!

Talk about bad-ass! This skull with fangs full shoulder tattoo fits the description. This skull tattoo was done by Gustavo Lopez at Lowrider Tattoo. Lopez is a very skilled artist. The reflection off the teeth, the super fine cracks along the jaw bones, and of course the grade A shading that blends the main section [...]

The detail in the skull here is really amazing, I haven’t seen a good one like this for awhile. The shades, curves, and pale coloring helps to draw you in. There is great detail in all the seemingly organic matter surrounding the skull and the detail in the face adds personality to the piece. All [...]

Here is a tattoo themed on “Dia de los Muertos” (aka ‘The Day of the Dead’). The look of the texture of these roses, around the woman, look as if they were actually painted! They are beautifully done along the side of this girl’s body. The woman has the same painted quality about her, especially [...]

This is a very cool Black Widow tattoo with a skull as the spiders body. There is a nicely positioned shadow around the whole body that creates a serious three dimension feel to the piece. Each of the legs and the head of the spider have a polished look to them via great shading, making a [...]

This tremendous collage tattoo is simply amazing. Done by Kore Flatmo at Plura Bella Tattoo shop in Cincinnati, Ohio, we can see he has incorporated a Hannya mask on the abdomen, complete with fear inspiring yellow eyes and large teeth. The skeleton on the sleeve is really great. With a mantle of red and gold, [...]

This piece is expertly layered. With the skull melting into the knee of this tattoo client and a network of red vines underneath a kind of rib bone system, we are invited to make our own conclusions about what this tattoo represents. Done by Ty McEwen of Off The Map Tattoo in Easthamptom, MA., his [...]

Here is yet another excellent tattoo from East Tattoo in Taiwan. This one is an eclectic mix of some very smoky skulls and some huge red chrysanthemums (they are chrysanthemums, right?). It is an amazing half sleeve, with the red flower mostly on the shoulder, while the smoke leads to and partly covers the largest [...]

This video details a quick video interview of a tattoo client that is looking to get a sleeve of a Tibetan Skull and a flower. The video shows how the artist applies the some of the main images that the client is requesting, then fills in the space in between with his own free-hand design. [...]

This marvelous sleeve was done by Camila Rocha of High Voltage Tattoo shop in Los Angeles, CA. Reflecting the Baku and Tibetan heritage, this particular sleeve is full of wonder colors – nice yellows, red and purples help to warm up and make this mostly black and gray tattoo design stand out. The Tibetan skull [...]
