“What’s your sign?” Today, it’s the ninth sign of the zodiac, Aquarius! Perhaps the most recognizable part of the imagery for Aquarius is the man pouring the water. In Greek mythology, this is associated with a man named Ganymede. Zeus took a liking to the man, and in the disguise of an eagle, swooped n and carried Ganymede off to become a cup-bearer to the gods. As such, he is shown to be eternally pouring for those that he served on Mount Olympus.
This is a wonderful tattoo, showing the water being poured out, with water lilies below and a skull cavern in the background. Could that be Zeus looking on as well? Perhaps.
