Done by Jake Bussie at Alkali Tattoo in Janesville, WI., this tattoo in in memorial to Sarah Lorene Blackweil (I believe that’s correct), who was a Grandma that loved Elvis, pink roses and shared a love of treasure hunting with her granddaughter, thus the magnifying glass. We see her signature there in the ribbon, as well as the spirit of “hope” that she embodied as well. According to her granddaughter, she lost her battle to lung cancer, and this is the granddaughter’s way to remember how special her grandmother was. This tattoo is simply amazing. Wonderful layering of the objects and the detail is so clean, precise and realistic.

i like this tattoo. theres alot of detail, but i feel like the writting on the ribbon didnt add up to the beauty of the picture.
Yeah, I can see what you are saying there. I wasn’t sure if was the handwriting of the Grandmother? That would make sense and make it special – but it is in a slightly different feel.
